This episode single-handedly rejuvinated my faith in Season 6. It was amazing. I was really losing faith in the season, but this got so much better. The twist on Fayed was great, and completely unexpected. I just thought Jack would survive after some treatment, and maybe they put a tracker on Fayed or something. I was so pissed that Doyle died, but the writers decided to be awesome and keep him alive. The ending couldn't have been better. Jack is back, and in full force. He completely slayed everyone, in full on badass Jack mode. That hanging of Fayed had my jaw dropped. That being said, I hate Audrey Raines. Pretty convenient that Chang gives Jack a call right after the storyline dies, eh? The writers really should have left her dead. Honestly, that was depressing, but it will lead to some more badass Jack moments since now he's going to be breaking all the rules and going against every order he gets.
On to the White House. That was just stupid. There is no way that the President would sit there and let his Chief of Staff and Karen think that he was going to start World War III. There was no reason for him to do that. The writers really dropped the ball on that one, just for an awful cliffhanger the episode before. But next week is going to be great. Daniels is going to get what's coming to him.
Oh, and Milo still sucks the big one. "Oh my god, you care if Doyle's alright! BOO HOO I THOUGHT YOU LIKED ME!" Die Milo.
But, going back to my original point. This episode was phenomenal and brought back my faith in 24.

I agree with what you said. This episode could have been the finale, it was that good. You're right, in the real world Wayne would have told Karen and Tom his plan, but hey, this is Hollywood.
Jack storming in and killing everyone was amazing at the end, and hanging Fayed just put the cherry on top. Badass Jack is Back! I was all pumped up, and then whol calls? Audrey.... If I were Jack I would just forget about her since I would have thought she was already dead, but of course he's not going to do that because it's Jack- he has to go against authority and break some rules, which is why this next part of the season will kick ass.
9.5/10

Exactly. This really could have been the finale in terms of Jack's storyline and it would have been one of the best. It was such a display of badass to the point where it probably topped his slaying of the Drazen family. His fight with Fayed, ending with the hanging was so amazing.
I'm still pissed about the Audrey thing though. At least it will make for more badass Jack just killing everyone and not caring how many rules he breaks. Although it looks like he's going to get arrested next episode, so he'll have to break out and everything. I mean Doyle and a dozen guys were surrounding him.

I thought that this was one of the best episodes of the season and right when the phone rang I knew it was Audrey. Apparently the 24 movie has to do with Audrey and the Chinese so it would only make sense that she would be the mysterious stranger on the phone.

So...a season that showed imminent signs of S4-like degeneration has pulled itself out of the coffin. At least in this episode. David Fury, you are a genius. Bryan Spicer, it's nice to see an S1 director besides Cassar for once. Sean Callery...well, you never lost it to begin with, but you amped it up big time! Fayed and Gredenko may have been rather subpar villains compared to Ira Gaines, Ramon Salazar, Christopher Henderson, and the like, but their death scenes more than made up for it. Blood loss + hanging > plain ol' gunshots. White House storyline's not all that exciting. Hopefully, Sandra stays away for good this time. Apparently, Daniels is coming back next hour (didn't watch the previews; just going by what I read in BIG's post)? Don't tell me Wayne becomes incapacitated again! Aw, no more nukes went off. Oh well, I'm not as pissed as I thought I would be. That spectacular showdown between Jack and Fayed played out even better in the actual show than it had in my mind for the past twelve weeks. Cheng's back. W00T!!! So is Audrey. 6am - 7am: 9 7am - 8am: 8 8am - 9am: 7 9am - 10am: 9 10am - 11am: 7 11am - 12pm: 6 12pm - 1pm: 9 1pm - 2pm: 9 2pm - 3pm: 7 3pm - 4pm: 8 4pm - 5pm: 8 5pm - 6pm: 7 6pm - 7pm: 7 7pm - 8pm: 7 8pm - 9pm: 6 9pm - 10pm: 7 10pm - 11pm: 9 AVERAGE: 7.65

Gaines, this is basically what happened in the preview with Daniels:
Wayne: I'm demanding your resignation. Daniels: *stands up* I REFUSE!

This episode was definitely the best so far, from the get go. Not once did I feel that it was slipping.
In my personal opinion I think its one of the best episodes so far in all 6 seasons. It had everything!
Jack is definitely back with a vengeance.
The one gripe I have is for the whole "Milo" storyline. It really is getting tedious. It seems that he is actually turning a bit 'psycho' in his 'affections' for Nadia. She seems to get manhandled quite a bit.
