I thought that this was a very good episode.
We saw an interesting side of Doyle come out, I guess he's searching for the meaning of life or something?
Tom - I always liked him, even when he was kind of a creep in the beginning. It's good to see that he and Karen made up.
Wayne - Wayne, wayne, wayne, the adrenaline junkie. I'll admit that when he decided to launch the nuke I was pretty surprised, but it does make sense - he needs to keep his authority.
Daniels - He got owned by Tom, it was good to see him put in his place. It'll be interesting to see how things play out between him and wayne throughout the season.
Well, Gradenko is now out of the picture. When the tracking signal stopped moving, I jokingly said 'ha he probably cut off his arm'; oddly enough i was right - the guy is a psycho. There's gonna be some amazing torture scenes between Jack and Fayed next week I think, so I'm very excited. Now that Fayed is pretty much useless though, who will be the next villain?
One more thing, why did Gradenko turn in Fayed? Is it because he knew that he was basically done?
Nadia is still hot.
Quote/Action of the hour: Fayed - "I hope your friend dies." Jack - "Shut up" *kicks Fayed in the face*
9/10 for me.

Very much an underrated episode (the community at TV.com gives it a collective 8.45, which is one of the lowest scores any 24 episode has ever received on that site). I'm not sure what to rate it, but this is one of the weirdest, funniest, most ridiculous hours that the show has seen in quite a while (good-ridiculous, not S4-ridiculous).
The various developments, especially in the White House storyline, made me actually paranoid as to what might happen next. Ex: when Lennox brought up the transmitter thing, I thought Daniels might kill him (or something less drastic) during the commercial break. But Psychotic Adrenaline-Rush Wayne? A milestone in absurdity.
I was starting to think the writers would just drop the whole Milo/Nadia illegal login thing. Turns out...they kinda did. Unless what Doyle did gets brought up in a later episode. But hey, I'm just glad Nadia's getting more screentime, so *beep* everything else.
S6 seems to have pussied out lately, so while the thought of Gredenko's arm being chopped off did enter my mind, I didn't think they'd actually go there. Imagine my surprise when I saw the ax. Giddy-giddy.
So a terrorist walks into a bar...AND HE HOPES YOUR FRIEND IS DEAD!!! I have never casually typed "lol" in cybertext (and I will never), but I would definitely do so here if I were that kind of person.
I was going over this with a friend of mine right after the episode ended. Notice the Ferris wheel. Why not...have a shootout on said Ferris wheel? That would've been one of the most classic 24 spectacles ever! Fayed and Gredenko in one car, Jack in the one behind them, bullets flying in between, Jack maybe rocking the wheel and buckling it. As long as the writers were going for ridiculousness, they might as well have gone all-out. Oh, well.
I looked at the Fox.com summary to check two things: 1) Gredenko called Fayed out because he knew they were trapped, and he needed a diversion to get away. 2) Gredenko is indeed dead (and that death scene was quite eerie; reminiscent of Jack Nicholson in I-think-you-know-what-movie).

I'm a bit weary on this episode. I loved some parts and hated some others. I adored the action, as usual. Gredenko cutting his arm off was so amazing and original. His death was beautifully set and one of the most wonderful deaths on the show, in terms of the way it was staged and filmed. That being said, who's the main villain now? The random guy that talked to Fayed and asked what happens if he doesn't come back? I'm not really pumped to see that. Wayne's little change of heart was unbelievably predictable and unbelievably terrible. I wanted to punch the last minute of the show square in the nuts. Doyle's change of heart was great, because I love his character and am glad to see him fully fighting the good fight now. However, it was pretty random. They didn't build up to it at all. Last episode he helped Nadia and now he's really spiritual and helping everyone out? Kind of strange to me, but oh well. I can't wait to see him torturing Fayed in the next one, along with Jack. Speaking of which, Jack getting shot is going to be stupid. He obviously won't die and I'm pretty sick of the "Jack getting close to dying" scenario. Next week looks like a lot of fun though. Oh, and the whole "HE SHOT MY FRIEND!" .... "I HOPE YOUR FRIEND IS DEAD!" thing is the worst dialogue to happen to 24 since Milo's constant claims that "Doyle's a jerk."
One quick question. Exactly what happened to Chloe? A major character and she's barely had dialogue in the last like 8 episodes. Kind of pissing me off, but if it means we get to see Morris less, I'm fine with it.
Oh and Gredenko obviously pointed out Fayed so that he could get away. With CTU more focused on Fayed, they wouldn't care too much to follow Gredenko. Too bad he underestimated the whole, losing a lot of blood thing.

I've just seen the episode:
1. I've never said this before, but when I saw Gredenko take out the audio.... I knew that he was going to cut off his arm. Don't ask me how I guessed. I honestly don't know.
2. I didn't however forsee Adrenaline Wayne's final minute. I was so suprised that he turned around and gave the order to Nuke!! WTF. It went against everything he stands for. I have a feeling that its the adrenaline talking and nothing more
3. I like the scene were Doyle is 'still searching' for answers. It gives some backround to his character
4. Tom Lennox is the MAN!!! I loved the way he 'got' Daniels, and I'm glad that he and Karen have finally understood what eachother stands for.
5. Yes, I like Nadia, but her role hasn't really been 'put out there' yet.
6. Chloe is not getting scenes and this disappoints, and I like Morris too. Was Morris even in this episode? Can't remember
7. The 'I hope your friend is dead' quote was an 'eye roll', but I've said it before, I can stand one or two in each episode. As long as it doesn't have more of them, I'm content.
I'd have to give this episode an 8 out of 10. I enjoyed last weeks episode a lot more.
