1) How do those stars under my username work?
2) What is karma? (not in the Buddhist sense; I know what the official definition is...but relating to this forum, what exactly is it?)

1) How do those stars under my username work? 2) What is karma? (not in the Buddhist sense; I know what the official definition is...but relating to this forum, what exactly is it?) 1.) There are a different number of stars under you depending on your rank. In your case you are a VP, so there are 8 stars under your name. The next level up is president which has 9 stars. Basically, when you register you start at 1,and as you progress through the rankings you get more stars, and/or different colored ones. 2.) Karma is a rating system that is used on the boards. You can give a person Karma by clicking the exalt button, but basically all it does is give the person 1 more Karma point. If a person has more Karma, it is because people gave it to them because they like their posts. Otherwise, there's not much else. If you have any other questions, post them here. I'm not sure if i explained the karma thing well or not so tell me if you still dont' understand.

Ok, first of all, if you have another question, and you alread posted, instead of posting a new post, please use this button: to edit your post. alright, no, you cannot get negative karma. yes it is possible to be banned, but that is only in extreme cases, such as a person constantly spamming, swearing, etc, and not listening to our warnings. as for the spoilers, i don't understand what you're asking, if you could expand on that a little more that would be great. for the unread message icon, do you mean an icon that tells you when you have new Private Messages? if this is what you mean, go to your PM box, and click preferences. from there, select YES to "Alert me when I receive a new PM". hope this helps.

yeah, ok, sorry. but if you banned someone, can they come back? to post? and like when this was to me, is there an icon to check that? or to see if that person it was to has read it? or can we specify it to someone? and see if that person has read your post or not?

There is no way to tell if someone has read your post or not though.

so you can't specify it to a particular person and see if they have read it yes or not?

so you can't specify it to a particular person and see if they have read it yes or not? no, there is no way of telling whether that person has read your post. There IS a way of telling if someone has read your PM however - go to your PM box, then click outbox. If there is an opened envelope next to the receipient's name, they have read it. if you have any more questions please PM one of the staff.
