8/10. So Assad's dead? A tremendous waste of potential there, I believe. Would've at least liked for him to survive to this episode and die after saying some poignant last words. At least more poignant than "BOMB!" So Lennox proves his worth and rats out Pollock and Carson? He's sure come a long way since half a day ago. So Karen's been in DC this whole time waiting for her plane? You know that this was the result of the writers doing things on the fly. So Milo has mysteriously disappeared just like he did in S1? ...uh, not much to say here, actually. So Suvarov hasn't become a forgotten character after all? I was kinda ticked that the writers just dropped him in S5, and I did a double take when I saw Nick Jameson's name in the credits. So Jack speaks fluent Russian? And he just severed Denethor's pinky? But most amazingly, he's finally learned to use the vibrate feature? And yet he can't get over "nucular". Tsk. So the writers are reusing the whole "Consulate invasion" plot device? Hey, I try not to make comparisons between whole seasons, but this just glared at me. Although the development at the end made things interesting, and maybe even a little original. So Nadia's still hot? Cool.

I have to agree with you Reaper, there were a lot of mistakes made in this episode.
The whole Karen situation really stuck out like a sore thumb.
As to Milo.. he really hasn't offered all that much.
As to Jack, well, when you know many languages, correct pronunciation tends to get difficult ;D
The last scene made no sense at all. Why would that guy leave the room to call CTU, and leave the door open behind him too.

Sorry for the long break, been pretty busy this week. I actually had to tape this episode and watch it tuesday.
Anyways, I agree with a lot of what you said - Assad had a lot of potential and the writers just dumped that down the drain.
So Karen's going back, this could lead to some turmoil later in the year.
I like what they did with Tom, I knew from the beginning he was never a conspirator who would do something like that. I think that this shows that tom is not just a one dimensional character, but that he's very complex.
I'm glad to see that Suvarov's back, and it's cool that Jack speaks russian. I was hoping like Gaines said that they wouldn't bring back the consulate thing, and if they did I was hoping he'd be able to pull it off.
Decent episode in my opinion, full of action but there were some mistakes.

I would comment, but I really don't remember this episode vividly. Or at least what happened compared to others. Assad dying so abruptly was pretty weak though.

Ohh, but Assad didn't die. Assad had a double. Assad is now on his way to meet up with Fayed.
