"What happens next is on you, Jack!"
"I wanted you to hear it from me, Luis. I wanted it to be the last thing you ever heard."
"What's your pain, Jack? What does the needle make go away, huh?"
"The man has more lives than a cat."
"My brother is dead because of you. Because of YOU!"

Nina came back strong in Season 3 in my opinion. I mean, she made Jack kiss her. She killed his wife, and made him kiss her. That's just great. Also, she fried CTU's systems which was sweet.

I was gonna vote nina at first, but I voted for Saunders. I think that he was one of the greatest villains of 24, becuase he was almost an equal to Jack. He was supposedly killed while on the mission with Jack, and I thought that was really cool. It's hard to explain, but I thought he was just a great character.

I did think it was cool that Stephen worked for Jack, supposedly died, but was really tortured for 2 years (or 4, I can't remember which). That was a good twist, but I just never really got into him as a character. He just seemed to generic.

I thought he was a unique character in a unique situation.

I thought he was just like the same kind of cool, sly, British baddie that we see in basically every Bond film, and so much more movies that are out. Sure, he was great, but it's been done so many times before.

Yeah, that's a good point. He was unique to 24 though.

Very true. He was unique to 24, but I mean in the third season there isn't much that couldn't be.

I'm definitely going with Nina, like you said, she came back with a vengance. She wanted to believe Jack had changed .... her eyes portrayed pure hatred in most instances but in some, affection for Jack that never faded. I've just realized that I've picked females for each of the season's so far . A close second is Saunders. Cool, calculated and a suitable match for Jack

I'd say Nina was the most compelling villain in Season 3, though that was partly because her character already had such a history on the show that much of my interest in her machinations came from what I already knew about her. Yet despite her status as a well-known, iconic "24" character, she still brought a fascinating mix of character traits to the table in S3: brains, an instinct for self-preservation, ability to improvise, complete amorality, occasional fear, and, improbably, even a little vulnerability.
However, I thought Stephen Saunders and Ramon Salazar were also excellent additions to the show; both of them were interesting, complex, and extremely well acted characters.
